Hi, i Just Want To Ask if After the Given 90 days of submission of all the requirements and Medical Exam, Are we Going to Receive Any Feedback from CIC soon?! Tnx

A friend of my hubby who is March 2014 applicant with 2 dependants received his PR approval yesterday via email.

He is from Vancouver.


Haaaaaayyyyy... When will we receive ours? Patience... patience... patience...

There are still so many waiting who applied earlier that us 2013, so just be patient...

From June 3 to Sept 2 was the 90-day period, since then i am waiting, but CIC received all our documents July 17 last year. Actually the 90-day period is just the allowed time for you to submit the requirements or else the applicant will be considered no longer interested if he/she failed to follow without explanation. In my opinion cic don't base the processing there.

I have a question: has anyone on here had to renew their OWP while waiting for PR?
If so, please enlighten me on the process.Is it the same as the application to extend your stay as a worker within Canada? I just want to be sure. My OWP expires this September and i'm still waiting for PR, and i don't want to take any chances with CIC. Who knows how much longer they will take . I have read on the thread of members whose medicals will expire this June, ans still no word from CIC. Hopefully, CIC responds soon.

According to my hubby, at least 3 months before OWP expires, must apply for renewal. No changes for his OWP so he just applied for an extension while waiting for PR. He's given another 2 yrs OWP. But we're hoping to receive PR approval/PPR before this month ends because our medicals expire this June.

Hi! Welcome... Renewed OWP on his hand almost 3 months after he applied. He first renewed his passport (after his Phil vacay) expecting to be returned within 2 months but sad to say his passport was delayed and received after 3 months so it was only 2 months validity left with his OWP when he renewed. It expired last January and for 2 weeks without the new one he was on an "implied status."

By the way, on his new OWP is a remark that he has applied for PR and in process and the date he applied if im not mistaken.

You can renew it online..took me only 2 weeks to receive my new OWP.

My hubby renewed his OWP online too. Does it mean even in renewal cic is also not consistent?

No update yet, so frustrating! I have 1 dependant only (hubby).
