Did they skip the married applicants? They're now on May 2013 but they're giving it only to single applicants...feb 2013 married applicants still did not get their aip... :(

Let me just ask, has any married applicant in the 2013 timeline got any aip yet????

june 2013 married, are they skipping the married applicants?

I'm so happy for those who already have their AIP's coz I know you really deserve it guys after that long wait but I can't help also not to be sad since it seems that those who have dependents are being skipped over. The one with dependents also work as hard and complied with the rules as with the single applicants but it seems they are on the last line. I just hope that the promised 17,500 are not just for those single applicants who are already in Canada :(

I have a friend who is planning to email minister alexander and just want to ask if that promised number of PR he mentioned is only for those single applicants coz regardless of marital status you have, single or married, both complied with the rules and suffered as much as anyone else and just want to be treated fairly.

God bless us all!

@intrach My hubby's an april 2013 applicant, and no AIPs yet. I hope they don't have preferences over marital status when giving out AIPs.. I understand our applications should take a wee bit longer because they need to process the LC2 applications after the LC1, but the difference should not reflect as early as the AIP step. If you know what I mean. :( But anyhow, we just need to wait and ardently pray for it to come soon..

it would be nice to hear AIPs from married applicants too because i am one of them. my application was filed june 2013. hoping for the best and God bless us all.

my thoughts exactly, i would understand if it would take a little while for the lc2 to get processed but what does being married have to do with the aip being delayed?? or skipped over for that matter..

hello guys just want to say thank you for the congrats for me ...actually i have the same sentiments with u guys as for my last post that is what i noticed too that they are skipping married applicants that mostly single applicants got aip ... but also maybe i am also thinking that as a requirement for AIP there is written that lc1 and family member must pass background check too so maybe thats the reason for some delayed of aip for marrieds but i dont know because upon application u guys also submitted nbi clearance for family members right ....

and also for me and luckybmyside we got the same Visa Officer who processed our papers .. maybe it also depends on the vo whos holding our files.. because i know some who are singles who passed april but dont have aip yet..

so just to clarify i sent mine May 23 2013 AS SINGLE ...then i went home got married ... i JUST SENT MY ADD-ON REQUEST the other day and it said on the tracking cic havent receive it yet ..so i think they procesed mine as SINGLE STILL...but its ok since its only first stage approval and it said on the letter in case of any changes like marital status just notify them just what i did so they can process my husband ...i will call cic later to inform about that too.

anyways lets still continue praying specially for those married ones GOD BLESS EVERYONE... :)

hello guys i just called cic and asked some things i ask him if being single or married matter on getting AIP the agent told me that they dont know and it really depends on the visa officer whos holding our files ..and the thing that lc2 is yes going to be processed here in canada because of backlog specially in philippines ... and another clarification ... as what i read that UPON RECEIVING AIP ...live in caregivers can apply OWP for their SPOUSE from their HOME COUNTRY the agent confirmed to me that YES it is possible ..but for me not yet because i just sent my add on request and for now my spouse papers is not yet added on my file so he said give them like 3 weeks to add him and call back april 18 2014 then he will give me instructions on how my spouse apply owp :) and he said that the processing time now for pr is 24 mons ? i didnt know if that is from now that i got my aip or from the time i passed my pr ( so it will be 24 mons on may 2015) .. so ill just clarify it nextime i call them .. well atleast i am happy my papers is on process and wait for next step..

also i passed my renewal of OWP January 22 , 2014 and got approved MArch 10 2014 so on its way to my mail :)

GODBLESS EVERYONE :)

Wow..Thats really a good news for us with dependant..Thanks for the info:)Congrats
