Yep @natsy, twas april of last year.. I hope you do get ur AIP this month so we can have better chances to get ours in the next few months..Please do update us right away when that happens.. I've been itching to get that first approval .. I know it won't be long.. Let's all hope for the best.

Hello guys! Please, I need your help to answer my questions to make it clear for me cause It's a bit confusing for me. But first of all, would like to share my timeline.. I applied PR & OWP last Dec 1st week. CIC received my docs on DEC 05, 2013 (expresspost). Received acknowledgement receipt (e-mail) on Jan 09, 2014, Received my OWP first week of march dated/approved FEBRUARY 26, 2014.
These are my situation and questions: I submitted my pr/owp applications last year with my passport expiring this NOV 2014 (my big mistake
I should have renewed it last year) So, they base my OWP validity on my passport validity. I renewed my passport last week of Jan this year and still waiting this March. My work permit with my employer as a live in caregiver will also expire this NOV 2014. Can **Can I renew my OWP 3 months before its expiry date and do I need a letter from my current live in nanny job to renew this??
**Do I still need to extend my work permit as a live in caregiver with my current employer that will also expire the same date as my OWP?
**Or will I renew both of them at once?

nope you dont need extend your Wp for ur employer but you need to extend ur OWp before expiry date.

I am working (still is) working for 1 employer but I lost my status for 3months then my police clearance was delayed for 3months.. Also, I went out of Canada 3x for 6weeks so I was super delayed when I applied.
