Hi everyone, am new here. just submitted my pr-owp application last Aug.9, and Canada post says cic received it last Aug. 12. No AOR yet.. Single no dependent.

How long before cic sends AOR? I keep checking my email still nothing..are there times that they don't send AOR at all? or you really have to receive one before they start processing your application? Thank you!

Hey guys! Congrats to all those who have received their open permits! Here's wishing u all the best if luck in all your endeavours. For those who are just applying, congrats n best of luck to u too. As for AOR, on average it's about 2 wks after applying (via email). You can feel free to call CIC to ensure that your appl has been recieved. 1 (888) 242-2100. Good luck to u n everyone else who r in the waiting process. Success is inevitable.

hello guys just want to share my happiness and good news ...called CIC and agent confirmed to me my application is approved !!!!! ;D yeheyyy ..thank god after all the worries and headache ...here is my timeline :

Application sent : May 19 2013
CIC received : May 23, 2013
note that i didnt get any AOR
OWP approved: August 21, 2013

agent told me its on the mail yesterday

good luck everyone .... ^_^ god bless and to all who recently passed their application always pray and time flies you dont know your owp will be in your hands too

thank you Notsniw i just called them today .... i called them last august 16.. hoping mine was approved since the last one posted his application received may 16 and owp issued aug 8 so i am hoping ill get mine too ...but when i called aug 16 they told me mine is on process ... so i tried today and whooolaaahh its approved last wednesday..

why october ?? your is may 29 if im right ? does every agent told you to call october ?? if so thats strange ..well just pray ill hope you will get yours too ^_^

Hi, congratulate to everyone who receives OPW or AOR.

I have a few questions to ask, any advice will be grateful appreciated.

(1) Call CIC today, the agent told me the centre process the application up to July/24/2013 by today.

(2) The agent mentioned the AOR may not send to applicant, is it true? What does AOR look like? Is it an file number like Work Permit (8
digit number or something else)

(3) Agent mentioned now takes 4 months to process OWP if nothing goes wrong. Is it true?

(4) 3 months or 4 months processing times means working day(Mon-Fri) or include weekend?

It seems that I get different response at every time when I talk to CIC agent.

Anyone apply at Aug 1, we can share experience and the worry of being waiting.

Thanks! They received my application last week but i was thinking I should get an AOR before I can say they really started the processing already, you know... So I can start counting the months.... Lol! )

I did. But it says cannot verify information... I've been checking my email since Canada post showed it has been received. I used the option where I could track with signature upon received...
