THANKS NATSY! I asked because some are saying, since we cannot enter Canada with an expired/invalid medical, meaning visas must be on hand even before it expires. Therefore, I have hopes that we can be reunited with loved one within 1 yr from date of our medical exams.

Yep! That is what I know according to some friends, but can correct me if I'm wrong... but i think it is really true and correct, because few with expired medical repeat their x-rays and some test.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Please i have a question about filling the form IMM0008 to be filled on behalf of a minor dependent. Under the "program and category in which you are applying for", is it right to choose "family" and "dependent child" from the drop-down list? or to choose "economic" and "LCP" like i did when filling out my application?
Secondly, none of the letters (request for additional documents and MR) mention any fees. But in the link provided in the first email (request for additional documents) which opens to the applying as a member of the family class page, it says at the bottom of the page to pay fees. I find this a bit confusing. Please I would appreciate any help on this.

From reading past threads, I have confirmed that i am to sign on behalf of my son. But haven't come across any info on the above questions.

Hi Julsen! I am the LC2 but I asked my husband... according to him... for your 1st question, should be "family" & "dependent child" and for the 2nd you need to pay fees for the Right of Permanent Residency $550 each for you and your spouse only. I hope this helps...


CORRECTION:

I misinterpreted my husband's reply... because i do not have a copy of the form imm0008 with me, since I cannot open that form at the website. If the first question is about the LC1 because your name is being asked also... you should choose your program as "economic" and "LCP" in that form. You should fill it up as if you are the LC1 the same information the first time you applied EXCEPT that WE the LC2 ( dependents) have our own UCI number by this time.

Don't worry because i think you are correct... i made my corrections already... when i asked my husband he do not have the form with him, but he did check the copy of his form now...

Hi, guys. I think I still need to update the information of my daughter because she is in a university in US now. I read the letter again, that is mentioned we have to update all changed information in IMM0008. So I will mail my daughter's copy of student visa and new forms about her changes. I hope it is working to let CIC know we are waiting DM.

Yes! Those forms were all submitted to CIC, I filled them up too except for the IMM0008, my hubby filled it up in behalf of me... but all forms were signed by hubby.

I am from the Philippines, I sent all my forms to my husband then he submitted those to CIC Canada.

Oh my! I think i may have made a huge mistake ???. I filled in "family class" and "dependent child", then went ahead to pay the fees under family class applicants. Oh my! what a mess! What do i do now?? Luckily, i haven't sent out the form. Does that mean i have lost the $75 i paid?
Why doesn't CIC take people's calls ,so mistakes like this can be avoided ?
