Congrats to all the May applicants!! Finally they are clearing that backlog. Wondering if any June people are also starting to hear back or calling CIC and getting any different information? Seems like May and June was not a good time to have applied at all eh :(

There are people who applied in June and got approved in no time. So don't be a pessimist. Stay positive. It's just another CIC blunder and it can start over again. No assumptions can be made on their pathetic system. I hope you all get your much anticipated PGWP very soon. :)

As posted before, I am a May 13 applicant
Just received an email from CIC, I was happy to read approved but it only says NO UPDATE since last time you signed in!!
It is really nerve racking to wait and wait
However it also is really heartwarming that many mid May applications are approaching a final decision stage
Hope all get theirs soon
Positive and fingers crossed!

Thanks for your answer!

Yes! I don't know why institutions didn't tell us that studying part time will affect our PGWP. However, I decided to write a email to CSE. I felt if I didn't do that, there would be higher possibility I got rejected.

I wonder why educational institutions do not guide students that if they study part time, it may affect PGWP application. I still believe u may get PGWP as u did study full time for 4 years at a recognized institution. If your completion letter says that u were a full time student, u shud not worry. Even if it does not, I have feeling that if you worry and send in Case Specific Inquiries, it may confuse the officer further unless you write it very clearly and concisely along with reasons/limitations. General approach is to keep use of Case Specific Enquiries minimum as it is more paperwork for officer, thus, more delays (delays are not bad if the other alternative is sure rejection but depends if u r waiting for too long, u might as well wish that application gets rejected earlier rather than so late).

Think and write your options and evaluate what to do next.

Best wishes,

Hello,

If I'm from visa exempt country, do I still need to apply for TRV after receiving pgwp?
no ,it is just needed to enter Canada , So as long as you are visa exempt country you don't need it.
Hope that helps..Good luck.. :)

Update: I went to the office of MP Jason Kenney in Calgary SE, MP of the area where I work, since my MP is not established. The assistant told me that they can not help me because I live far from there. He recommended me to ask for help the nearest MP established, he gave me her name and contact.

That's all for now...

Update: Today I contacted the nearest MP office to my place, and they sent me a consent letter to allow them to claim CIC on my behalf. They know about the unfair situation we are suffering.

Really depend on MPs themselves, if they want to help or not. I believe they must have authority to help us get it done as long as they are cared.

Michelle Rempel, Nose Hill area. They asked me my postal code, and they are taking claims of the MP of my area, which is not established.

Good luck everybody
