Yes it is legit and still doable. I have a friend who did it in February. Also check page 13 and 14 of this forum for a member who did the same. Therefore, learn more from the link I provided, get the necessary documents, plan your travel, and get going if you want to flagpol. Make sure you have every document plus cash ($255) or debit. If not, then you have to wait for the 96 days of processing.krish2015 said:@ jubaer: so flagpoling is a legit way to get work permit still? This was true some years back.. I wd like to kniw if this still a legit way.. Pls reply

I got mine through flagpolling. Obviously risk is they can not let you in and if they don't give you the permit at the border then you can't work while waiting for your work permit any more and have to wait until you get it.krish2015 said:@ Jubear: are there any risks involved in doing a flagpole .. I mean, intuitively, why arent ppl choosing this option - seems to be an easier way around.. Just asking bcos, after waiting for so long for updates from cic website, this option looks too good to be true.. hope u understand my concern...
The simple answer is that very few people are aware of flagpoling. But I understand your timidness, cautiousness, and concern. However, if you feel uncomfortable doing it, just sit tight and wait for 96 days.krish2015 said:@ Jubear: are there any risks involved in doing a flagpole ..
