What do you think if we add the information of the city (province) we are applying from to try to find the reason for the delay.
Can be also geographical?
I think in May we apply tons of students just graduated in April, once we got the Letter from our College/University.

Hahahaha, yeah file a complaint to the UN lmaoo. Had a good laugh reading these posts. Definitely going thru mental disorder here now.

Hey guys, Newbie here...........

Blank Updates: Mid august.... twice.
$100: Paid and uploaded through CSE on the 8th of September after waiting for almost 120 days without an email. (No request for the fee and my friend from May 30th had just gotten his permit mailed to his place.)
Approval: Still waiting

Tried flag poling early July. Got turned home after waiting 5 hours in the waiting area with them holding my passport. Reason being, I brought only transcript and did not give him a graduation letter nor certificate.... (Please note my friend accompanied me and got her permit using the same documents as me but I got turned back because we had different CBSA officers and mine was a major d****e).

Don't know if this means anything but I have been nominated in quebec (CSQ) and had to declare that fact in my application form. Yeah I also applied for permanent residency as a dependant................ doubt if that affects my PGWP though.

Due to his merits (experience, hints and tips) I recommend to the Government of Canada to hire Jubear with inmediate effect as Inmigration officer, PGWP department.

I bet all our applications claims would get a fast answer!!!

You get nothing more than your application is still under review.
I don't understand even the need for having a call centre. They pretty much don't have power to do anything.

Hey guys!
I'm new here.
Applied online on May 1st. Paid 155$.
Got a msg about additional 100$ on August 17th, paid it and submitted right away.

September 4th I called cic, talked to agent. I explained that I have already lost one contract and about to loose another one, if I wont get WP by Sept.14th. I was really lucky, she was really helpful - she sent a msg about my situation. I really hope that it will help.

I also have a question about flag poling - I have my SP valid, but my trv expired. Can I still do it or not? I'm in Calgary, so its just 300 km to the border. Im so desperate, so I'm ready to drive even 700 km. This waiting is killing :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi guys...I got my work permit today. I applied on June 09 and it took exactly 3 months to process. I did not receive any status update email as I was checking my account randomly and found that it was approved.

Hi Everyone, thanks for all your updates, I am new to this forum and this is my first post but I am glad I discovered this website to see other people going through the same frustration.

My info is below, but I also had a question for the forum. By any chance, is there anyone that uploaded their payment $100 payment as an attachment on the same day they applied? I was lucky enough to read a checklist that mentioned to put the $100 receipt as an attacment. However, I have not been approved or have received any notifications from them yet asking for the $100 payment so I was wondering if anyone else was in my situation as well.

I have severe pressure from my employer so this is becoming a major time issue.

i just wanna share the happiness and positivity...

my husband applied for PGWP last june 13, 2015 for an 18 months Post Graduate Course in Vancouver...
though it's a 1yr and 6 months period program only, he indicated in his application form a request for approval of 2YRS VALIDITY...

We have never expected! how blessings and luck comes!
Coz after 3 months, he received yesterday September 9, 2015 his PGWP approval of 3 YEARS!!!
Right after checking his My CIC account, he received a confirmation fr CIC regarding validity period and all...
He was told he have to wait for the actual permits to be mailed in his address.

I read here one member who has also finished a 1 yr program and was approved a 3 year period PGWP... could be a positive assumption... he/she mentioned:
"I've heard that this might be because my grades were good (GPA above 85%.) Some of my classmates were also given 3 years PGWP. I cannot guarantee anything, but hope this information helps."

By the way, he paid $255 on the initial application (which i supposed the cause of delay for most of the applicants)... he received consecutive blank messages from CIC... then eventually after 3 mos! APPROVED!!!

My partner did good in his studies... Thanks God!

May I just ask how long will he receive the permits?
And can he make any travels once with permit on hand and TRV approved already?

For all early May applicants, here is some info for you.. not sure if it brings down your frustration lil bit.

I've explained local MP about the situation we are facing with PGWP.
His assistant followed up my application and told; "CIC is working on applications submitted on May7th and they received my file on Sept 5 (File is opened) - they 've asked for a week to process the application"

So, MP's assistant told me that she's going to follow up with the application next week and kinda updates me.

Hope everything goes smooth without further delays..

Finally received my physical copy of the work permit yesterday.
Here's my final timeline -

Applied online April 28
Notification to pay $100 August 17
Online approval September 1
Mail delivery September 9

Total - 135 Days

Hello Everyone

Finally I got my WP approved

Applied online : May 14th (WP extension with same employer)

I just checked my CIC account and it says approved.........did not get the approval letter or confirmation yet so don't know the duration.
