AINP processing times have been updated as of September 10, 2014.

The processing times below are the most accurate source of information regarding the status of your application.

this is not a change in the rules but an extension of processing times due to lack of resources and manpower. no point protesting but good luck!

They should increase amount if certificates to be issued per year.
Foreign workers (especially in small towns in this province) are a huge benefit for the local economy.
Local people simply dont last long at the same position. You train them, wasting your energy and time, and then they resign.

There should be a survey among business owners to show the need to increase amount of certificates to be issued.

I wrote a letter to a local chamber of commerce in town explaining why local businesses need us.
Think if everyone would do the same, maybe they will begin to do some good changes, not the sad ones.

In 2012 the processing time was only one month. Now surprised to see more than a year?

That's because they have changed a few sections in eligibility to apply in AINP in September 2013.
They really had a big bump of applicants since then and I applied October 2013 and took me 2months to get AINP too..
I see the pattern that the processing time kept on increasing at this rate of incoming applications.

what can I EXPECT is..

if it's taking more than a year, people will rather try to apply with CEC since there is no point of waiting more than a year.
and then the processing time will decrease again..

Also now CIC is allowing only 5500 AINP nominations each year. Hope earlier there was no limit.
