I have a question concern with the Right of Permanent Resident Fee, I had paid $1040 each person, and totally 2080 for me and my husband. Now I got the interview, they mention the Permanent Resident Fee is $490. Do I need to pay it? or that fee is also included in the beginning?

Just this week, I received an email from CPCV regarding my application:

“This is to advise you that your application has been transferred to the Canadian Immigration
Centre in BRO Niagara Falls for further assessment. The Canada Immigration Centre may
contact you for an interview or to seek additional information or clarification. Once processing is
complete, that office will notify you by mail of their decision...”

Is this something that I should be worried about? Or will this transfer make the processing faster?

Hello.. You don't need to worry....hopefully you will get good news soon... My timeline is also same as yours... I also applied in nov 2016...and still waiting for dependent's medical...

Thank you so much for your reply. I have one dependent who has special needs. Im surprised you have not received the request for medical examination yet. I am hoping that we will get our approval very soon.

Here is my timeline:

Nov 19, 2016: PR/OWP Application sent
Dec 07, 2016: AOR
May 05, 2017: Eligibility letter received
May 22, 2107: Upfront medical exam for dependent was done
July 18, 2017: Health case submitted to IRCC
Sept 12, 2107: dependent medical request
July 20, 2018: application transferred to BRO Niagara Falls

Hello to all!

I just wanted to know if there are still LIC applicants who are under old pathway (like my case), who have not received their Medical Request for there dependents yet.

I sent my application for OWP and PR on March 2018. I got my AOR on April and my OWP on June 2018. My employer let me go end of June and I started a new job 2nd week of July. I informed CIC of my new address. I have 3 children and my husband as my dependents.

I received the letters of eligibility and pre-arrival notice from CPCV last May and my OWP on June. After that, I thought medical request will follow. However, to date, I have not received any update.

I have friends who were ahead of me by 2 or 3 months only and 2 acquaintances who submitted their applications last April and June 2018 only. They all have dependents, and they all got their PR status already.

I was hoping and praying that my application will be included in the 80% that CIC will process this year. But based on the trend I am seeing and reading that the most recent applications are being processed and being approved....makes me worry why there is a delay in my application..that is if I am the only one left with no MR from the old pathway. I tried calling CIC several times, i kept being directed to an agent who does not answer due to the volume of calls (always being disconnected). Also, per the phone recording and per the information on MYCIC account my eligibility is still being reviewed. A bit confusing because I received my eligibility letter on May.... Hayz . I also tried getting ATIP 2x. Not much information...no MR.

I heard about getting help from MP....care to help me how I should go about this?
