hi. How will you know your visa officer?

Hello there. ;D
You can view the name of your visa officer once they will send you an eligibility letter along with your medical request.

Hi Esil, our applications seem sooooo slow.. I have 5dependents maybe that's the reason why my application runs so slow.. still waiting for medical request too. my Visa officer is AOL.. hopefully this year matapos na ang paghihintay natin..

Hello,
I also filed my pr application march 2015 and received my medical request for my 3 dependants 11 months after i submitted my documents to cic. the process is so slow unlike those who filed lately.medicals done last feb.2016 and submitted to cic and until now im waiting for update. Who knows one of these days well receive good news. Keep the faìth.

Hi guys,
sorry for those of you who are waiting for a long time. I still dont know how long will it take mine. It is unfair since we have completed our requirements and we have been away from family and made big sacrifices.
Unfortunately in my case I was not able to file my daughter as a dependent since she already finished university and is 25 yrs old (this past January :-( she graduated).

QUESTIONS:
I got my OWP but the date of expiration is in one year while my passport expires in 2019. Does somebody know why?

If I got my OWP does that mean that my application is complete?

Hello! To those who have been PR how long did you wait for your PR card? Thanks for anyone who would reply.

Hi I have a question here, I already met the 3,900 hrs last june 10 but I haven't submit an owp and pr application yet can i still submit though my work permit will expire on July20th? I already submit an application for extension? Need an advice thank you

Just submit what you have and your status would be implied. As long as you reached the required time and completed all the documents they need you need not worry about your work permit. Its either you stop working. Or apply extension of work permit while you're waiting for your open work permit if you're still under the same employer.

You just have to renew it if it expires. It means that they are expecting that your papers are done within a year Mine was the same. So its either they finish your PR app by then or you have to renew your open work permit.

No prob. I have a friend who had a prob with her husbands medical they discovered he has cancer but still on early stage. But they gave her open work permit and they did not close her application so everytime her open work permit expires she just applies for renewal. So same thing for you, you just have to apply for renewal if you are not PR by then.

Please help me. I have friend who is an in home care giver and her work permit said not eligible for pr. She came Nov last year. I'm confused. So the new pathway doesn't allow some ppl to get pr. It also said she can't change jobs before her 24 months. What is she is being treated badly? Does anyone know of this

Wow, I have no idea! I dont think that is right, for her not to be able to change jobs before her 24 months. Actually that is not used any longer because of the abuse nannies were subject off. Something is not correct there, are you sure she can not change jobs?

Hi! I think all work permits have sa same clause you cannot change jobs since it's close to just one employer. She would need to find a new employer to be able to apply for a new work permit with the same information. Plus work permit holders are not really eligible to apply for PR because you need to acquire necessary requirements such as 3900 hours or 24 months full employment and that taxes are paid for 2 years while you are on your work permit. Once you complete the requirements you would be eligible to apply for PR. By the way, what is her profession when she applied for work permit sometimes they base it there they base it on your skills.

I think it cost Php10k/person and it also depends if one of the dependents would require additional medical exam such as ECG, sputum exam, etc. but if you're healthy it would just be around 10k pesos.

Hi everyone I just want to ask coz im about to apply my OWP/PR soon I'm single with 1 dependant do I need to add the additional dependants form or no need? and one more thing the OWP form is it the same with the form that we use when we process our WP extension? hope I can get answers from you guys thanks coz right now I'm gathering some requirements that I need so that I can process my papers soon thanks again everyone have a nice day :)

Hi, I do not remember the additional dependants form but if it says in the checklist add it. I remember filling up a family members form (parents, siblings, daughter).
You use the same WP application except that is a hazard when it asks you questions such as name of your employer, address of employement, etc, but do not worry too much. You have to write NA or write the name of your current employer. Maybe some others have more answers.

Good luck and keep us updated on your timeline!
