Hello guys,
Good day! I have a question...
For applying for PR/OWP under the livein caregiver, do we need to get a criminal record check fromCanada? Or just the one from the country where we came from? ( police certificate )

Hi Roah,
yes you need a background check from Canada as well. There are agencies that are approved to do so.
Good luck!!!

How is everybody doing? News?

at first if you have lacking requirements they will return your application like mine i forget to fill up my husband form.
Hi Esil, it seems our timeline and case were the same. cic returned my documents due to my imm5669 missing, but I already submitted and last April they sent me a letter about my daughter's affidavits and some other requirements bec of her late registration.. till now waiting for my medical request. did CIC email you or update if your application are complete before med. request? anyway other applicants have had their PR in very short time most especially for singles.. but for our case with dependants its a long journey.. hopefully PR coming nxt year..

hi rob i only received PR illegibility 4 months after i sent all the lacking requirements from my husband until now i didn't receive any letter from them or even medical request. it might be my daughter is turning 18 next year or maybe because i have 4 dependants. or because my visa officer (LZHL) is busy. who's your visa officer rob? your dependants is in phils? kasi sa akin andon cla sa saudi arabia with their father working as nurse.

Thank you!!! Patience is your only friend here....It's hard to wait and to check your status all the time...but eventually something will start happening...

Good luck!!!!

AnaG

Thanks AnaG,

yes, you are right. Its like we have to let go off control for now. Not easy for me but there is no other choice, as you say: patience is a friend for us while waiting :-X

My OWP IS HERE!!!!
I cant believe it!!! Im so so so so excited!
Although there is always a concern, they gave me an open work permit till July 2017 only and my passport expires in 2019. That is kind of confusing. Do you have an idea of why?
So, if they give you the OWP that means that your application is ok? complete?

My timeline so far:

Sent OWP/PR application on March 17th
AOR June 30st
OWP July 19 (but it was made on July 7th)

Hi Esil, our applications seem sooooo slow.. I have 5dependents maybe that's the reason why my application runs so slow.. still waiting for medical request too. my Visa officer is AOL.. hopefully this year matapos na ang paghihintay natin..
