Let share Preparations/Timelines for 2015 Live In Caregiver PR/OWP Applications

Application sent: October 29,2015
Applic. received: Nov. 2
CIC Confirmation: Nov. 27
OWP: December 14

My sister will be submitting her OW/PR this Saturday in one envelope. Her work permit expires by Jan. 28th, do we need to extend her work permit even if she will be working for the same employer?

We are including the new contract for another 2 years in the application but once she gets the open work permit, she is planning to look for another job and notify her employer.

If not applying for extension, can she still continue working for the same employer while waiting for open work permit?

Kindly help.

mhievalencia i didn't extend also my contract as LCP my permit is up to dec 31. god willing all will be ok and soon our OWP will be release. im hoping also that my family will come soon. my husband is working in KSA my 3 daughters with him. i read the furom here most of them didnt renew their permit.

Goodevening ! ask ko lang po if kylan ako pde apply for live in caregiver sponsor kpo auntie ko frm ottawa. dto po ako hk now slamat po !

if your aunt applied LMIA and have the positive result. then, you can get it and apply to CIC or via agency. you must complete all your reqirements.

No need to extend. You will be under "implied status" waiting for owp while continue working at same employer. You cannot work with other employer until you get your owp.

hello , I have completed my 3900 hours with an employer but I had an emergency back home so I needed to go back to my family when I came back here I found out that they have already hired a new one. and now I left hanging.. cani still apply for an open work permit?

if I am eligble to apply for open and permant residency

just to sure for I am worried that my staus will expire next year april

I would want to stay here can I seek another regular wrok permit aside from open work permit application?
