Hi! I haven't recvd my owp. Hoping it will arrive anytime soon.

I haven't received my owp too. I heard it usually takes 3 months. So I'm praying that it will come this month.

Thank you! I just heard from someone that her Filipino neighbor who submitted her application last April 2017 just recvd her owp couple of days ago. Hers was really quick.

In any event they should transfer some of the files of people waiting along time to the staff dealing with new pathway application. Ending their long wait

She submitted this year. Old pathway. I know very few people who wants to do the new pathway as it has more requirements.

Hello there, someone sent me to this topic.

Has anyone been in this situation?

I am gathering my documents for the PR and OWP(old pathway) but I don´t have a signed statement of earning of my first employer (I have ROE and T4), I try to contact them but they haven't responded any of my emails or calls.

I called CIC (immigration) and they told me that I should write a letter explaining why I don't have the statement of earnings sign for my employer but the person wasn't sure if the government will accept the letter.

Does anyone know what should I do?

Please, I need advice, I have completed 24 months already to apply but I am afraid if the government doesn't consider the time worked with the first employer.

Also, does anyone know how long is the process taking since I am applying by myself without any family member?

Did the CiC send you and email confirming the advise she gave you? If so attach it and a letter of explaination and sent you PR/OWP application.

If they did not email you confirmation of the advise. Then do as the lady said write a letter explaining and or get a lawyer to represent you.

You cant wait on the employer forever. The good thing you have the T4 and Roe. Pray and send it off in faith. Seek legal advise

Another help, Does anyone know what papers do I need for the open work permit application?

The open Work permit application has a checklist. Fill out the main form and i believe is only your immigration documents and copy of your passport pages because the LMIA stuff are not required.

If you do everything yourself just ensure all the documents on the Checklist for PR and OWP are there.

As i said put a cover letter with Pr explaining and providing evidence the employers has failed to respond. Put your ROE andT4 as evidence that you in fact work for them and paid taxes. It just the employer does not care so you have to press on with your application
