hello
this is the question which is not about canada but i thought that u seniors have much knowledge to answer my query?i hope u people will help me .
actully my mother had a US permenant residence card & social security card ,she also used to work in US but in 1985 she came to pakistan with me because of the separation between my father and mother.since then she never visited US again .
now what i need to know that is there any possibility to renew her green card after such a long time?does this card worths any more?plz advice.....

Her GC is considered abandoned after such long time outside US. By leaving US she has demonstrated that US is no longer her permanent country of residence, which is enough to revoke your GC.

Yeah, they can take it away if you are gone for more than a year or even if they just think you have left the US permanently.
