Hi,

I am recently legally separated but not divorced yet, have to wait few more months until 1 year to file he divorce paper to the court. And I am thinking to Sponsor my parents to Canada this year.
Do I need to count my spouse in family size income requirementt in past years(2016,2017 and 2018)?
Appreciated if anyone can help, thanks

PGP is closed for 2019 now. Therefore you have time to sort out your affairs before it reopens, probably in January 2020.

BUT with legal separation proof they won't count her as a member :) but later they may like to see how much Alimony payments per month are imposed on you and that would be deducted from income. NOT 100% dealt with such situations perhaps a senior can reply here

What if the OP receives alimony? Or there is no alimony payable by either party?

If he has to wait for 2020 anyway then the OP will have time to divorce legally in the next year.

Hello guys. I am also facing a related problem. What if I am behind on alimony in another country (US). Will that affect me too?
