No ... I'm still waiting and I don't know if anything will appear soon ever .. : :
lemans207 .. Yes I pass everyday going to my work ... And i see the applicants waiting in the security zone in the embassy ... or some of them walking with their applications ... :-[
Usually about 6:50 am i pass, and find this number of people ... So I think they start to gather on 6:30 am .. Hope not before that ???

Here in Abu dhabi you cant apply anything, its just for canadians renewal etc and visit visa.

I remember I used to pass near Australian embassy near to AUB, I see the same human line

Eventhough I know that the case remain the same under CIC web ..
But as soon as I applied my file, and I couldn't once check my file successfully ...
My file number starts with DA + the 9 numbers ... Is it normal ?? and why I can't check normally my status since year and a half : ??? ???

The 30 september 2011 was the date of opening of my dossier upon the canadian embassy in syria ...

But I got this file number on 9 june 2011, when the embassy send me a letter asking me that they received my application, but I must resend a check adding 5 dollars (cz the 1st check was 390 $ ) ....

Yes I'm Quebec .... And still waiting for the interview (normal or waiver : ;D) hehe

I applied on Nov 2010 and still waiting, Actually my interview will be close they are now interviewing applications of August 2010.

So you have more than 1 year for your interview.

in order to get interview waiver, you should
Do language tests
Equivalence of your degree

No additional interview required, just for Quebec Selection you get CSQ then you apply it to Federal

and Wait 3 years to get you visa :'(

you can say its 4-5 years plan
