in qubec they consider french as well too right? try to learn french A1 it will b helpful for you in future.. not only qubec province ppl.. who ever stay in canada.. check in university r outside classes..

go with françoise alliance center who provide french A1 better way of teaching..

Ah, yeah they consider french a primary lang here. But the girls are cute and try to speak english properly so we both laugh at that lol. Nice way to flirt.

Its very, very cold here. I'm not able to stay outside for more then 10 mins on bad days.

Went out again today. Two people approached me for the first time today and were like do you have any change, I need for xxx. I honestly was suprised. Its different from India, you cant make out whos a begger here because everyone wears coats and stuff. They are also quite tall and well built so thats another thing. I said i didnt have any and proceeded to turn back and walk very fast lol.

I asked the locals about this and they said people are harmless but I dunno I guess im just a little concerned since they are physically capable of mugging u unlike in India. I would suggest you never carry more then 20$ with you and keep some change just incase you need to give some. Its worth giving a bit then getting into trouble. Never forget that your in a foreign land and montreal is mostly white, our skin colour sort of makes us stand out to the local crowd so travel safe.

my bro is admitted in mcgill university, he'll be arriving there on 29th of December. can you suggest about the things he should carry along with him and also can you suggest some good accommodation there

Buy a few coats, scarfs, gloves and sweaters. Accomodation is tricky, depends what hes after. Wants roommates or single? Area? Neighbourhood?

The Milton/Ave Parc area is closest to mcgill so he should probably try for that,

there are no preferences regarding roommates or neighborhood.
do he needed to take blanket or something with him or he'll be provided whole bedding with his accommodation?
one more thing does he need any cooking stuff to bring with him?
