Hi,
So I am about to apply for my study permit extension on Oct 29. My study permit and visa both expire on Dec 27, but I have already bought the tickets to go to my home country on Dec 23 which is roughly 55 days. I have waited until now because I have just recently gotten a paper from school stating that I will be continuing in January. I have couple possibilities that can unfold, some of which still need clarifications:
1. Let's say i get my study permit before I leave. In my home country i apply for TRV and wait for its approval. Can I apply online from inside Canada but request the stamping in my home country? Should I just do TRV from my country?
2. If I do not have time to receive my permit before leaving, my friends could possibly send it via mail. But then again, previous question comes in with processing time issue. This will require me to stay outside for longer.
3. Is there a way that I can get TRV while still waiting for extension? I don't think so, but maybe there is a possibility, like visitor visa. If so, then what are the chances, that the officers at the airport will allow me the entry without physical copy of my extension (only approved one online)?
4. Since it is all happening around Christmas times, I am afraid the processing times will be a bit longer which increases a chance of me not getting my study permit extension before leaving. I cannot cancel my trip, i can only move coming back to Canada day, so what are your suggestions?
