Hello,
I found this forum really helpful in the past and was hoping someone could clear something up for me.
My wife and I will be applying for her PR soon (inland spousal), but my wife would like to go home for a week to visit her friends and family. Does leaving the country invalidate the application?
CIC says its not a problem:
cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=248&t=28
But I've found sites like these that say it is a problem:
matthewiwama.com/video/part-3-sponsorship-series-inland-vs-outland/
While coming back into the country she would be assessed and could potentially be turned away as that's the case any time you cross the border as a non resident/citizen, but does leaving the country put her PR application at risk?
Thanks for any help!
