Hello all

My question is are either the sponsor or the principal applicant allowed to travel outside their country while the application is being processed. I am the sponsor (canadian citizen) and we submitted our application Dec 14 2018 so i still haven't even got my AOR1 yet. My wife lives in Macedonia and is a citizen there. I want to go visit her in March and from there maybe go visit some other places in Europe. My concern is it an issue for me to leave Canada and also for her to leave her home country in the early stages of the process of our application. Our application was recieved in Nova Scotia on Dec 17, 2018

Thanks for your input

Are you sure? Reason i ask is because i cant remember where i read somewhere that the principal applicant cant leave the first 6 months of the appliction or maybe the last im not completely sure.
I am sure that both of you can leave the country while it is processing. if the application is inland ( your outland) the PA may not leave the Canada.

Since your application is an outland application, leaving Canada to visit has no impact on the application. Same can be said for your spouse. She can leave her country as well. If there are any interviews required for your spouse, it will be done in her country.
