Leaving Canada while PR application is under processing

I'm currently on a post graduate work permit and have applied for my PR back in July 2020.
The biometrics and medical are done and all the documents have been submitted so I'm just waiting for it to be processed now.

Due to some family emergency, I might have to quit my current job in Canada and go back to my home country for a couple of months.
I was wondering if this could negatively effect my PR application in any way whatsoever ?

As long as you are on open work permit, you don’t have to stick to your job. You can travel but you can face difficulties when returning to Canada due to travel restrictions because of COVID. thanks
