If you're going away for a week that's fine.
However do note the risk of being turned away is still there even if it's small.
They could turn you away for example, because you travelled to Mexico and partied with a bunch of people, and you got a smudge of cocaine on your shirt, which ended up in your carry on. Or if they ask you questions about your stay and what you did, and you start to get all nervous and combative with the officer. Etc. You should note that even you have a visitor visa, that doesn't grant you the right to enter Canada. Only Canadian citizens and PRs have that right.
