Leaving Canada on a work permit

I am not sure that it's a problem but I thought better ask :

I am on a work permit in Canada, has been here for 1.5 years. Work permit expires in June.

I come from a country that does not require a visa to enter Canada.

I will be flying to Japan next month for a few days.

Should I expect any problems returning to Canada?

No. As long as you are visa exempt or you have a valid visa along with your work permit you can come and go as you please until your work permit expires. You have no problem!

Just make sure you carry the work permit with you. That's all the officer asked from me when I got back from my home country this December. You will be fine, don't worry.
