Leaving and re-entering Canada before PR card arrives?

He is here as a visitor now. How would he be able to delay landing? Is that possible? In any case he landing has to occur before he goes to Switzerland in order to deal with the authorities there. In any case, I am sure we can work it out one way or another.

I know what the website says. But what it doesn't say is that those instructions are meant for people who are not visa exempt from Canada. The Travel Document not only allows them to enter Canada but to BOARD the plane. Someone from a non-visa exempt country must show a valid visa, PR card or TD or they won't even be allowed on the plane. People from visa exempt countries do not have this issue.

Even though your husband will not have a PR card with him he is STILL a PR. They cannot deny him entry to Canada because he is a permanent resident. The card just says he is a PR but CBSA has access to the same information. They WILL let him enter. Even if he went to Paris and applied for the TD they would refuse him because not only does he not need one but he is not eligible for one.
