Hello everyone, I have just landed in Canada as a new PR and completed all my formalities and I have been told that due to Covid, it will take around 3 months for the card to be delivered to me.

The issue is that due to obligations at work, I might need to leave Canada for a few days before I get the PR card. In such a case, what documents would I need to be able to enter Canada again?

1. Permanent Resident Travel Document or if you fly into the US, you can use your COPR to cross at a land border.

While not advisable, a lot of new PRs give the address of a friend or a relative as mailing address for their PR Card. Once their relative receives the card, they send it via post to the new PR.

It is not an advisable method, nonetheless a lot of people do it.
