I am living in Canada now and currently waiting for my PR visa stamp. I'm wondering if it is possible for me not to land first after I get my PR visa? The reason is that I have to visit another country for 3-4 months soon after I get PR visa. Is that possible for me to "land" as a PR after I'm done with my business trip and come back to Canada via the Vancouver International Airport?

P/S: My initial plan was to land first, then leave Canada, and finally apply for a travel document to come back to Canada. But I would like to skip the step of applying a travel document if possible.

Any advise is very much appreciated. Thanks :)

Yes you can but there usually a expiry date on your visa. You have to do your landing before that date.

Everyone has a different date so you will not know yours until your passport returns back to you.
