LCP - Anyone Been Audited?

So I keep reading about how much more strict the government is going to be in investigating/auditing employers and nannies in the LCP. I am the employer of an LCP nanny, and I think we are complying fully with the program. But it makes me nervous. Has anyone experienced one of these so-called increased audits? Are you hearing of more of them? I have never heard of one ever occurring (and I know a LOT of people with live-in nannies).

Any experiences to share?

Pfft. Smoke and mirrors from the Canadian Gov. the TFW program ain't going no where.

Don't fret, they will never audit you unless you seriously abuse your employee.

They will investigate or audit you unless there is a tip or a complain against you.

Interesting. A nanny down the street from us told me that her friend who lives near us and works as a nanny was deported, and the employer was given a fine, for some under-the-table part-time work the nanny did for them. I wonder if this is all rumour, or maybe it's true but there was a complaint/tip.

Who knows, but the nanny down the street is freaking out now because she does a bit of housecleaning of the side. I guess this is a risk if you break the rules.

Things like this certainly happen once in a while. So my guess would be the story is true and the nanny was caught because someone snitched.

Yes - those are the risks of breaking the rules. And once you're deported, the chances of ever coming back on any sort of temporary visa (work, visit, study) are effectively reduced to nil.
