Hi Guys,
lets try to encourage and help one another by posting updates regarding our LC2 PR applications in the Philippines. Im the LC1, married with one child under 6 y/o. Thank you!

my timeline is:
LC1 application in Canada: Nov. 3 2010
LC2 application received in CEM: February 22, 2013
AOR received: April 12, 2013
LC2 ecas: application received
MR: still waiting

LC1 OWP: Dec. 10, 2011
AIP Received: February 5, 2013
LC2 Kit Received March 5, 2013; Sent to CEM: March 8,2013
AOR Received: April 28, 2013

with 3 Kids, 13 , 6 and 5 years old

hi Daph,
mabuti naman at mabilis ka nila nabigyan AOR. sa tingin mo ba 38 mos matatapos na din tayo? kasi 25 months naman nasa AOR natin.. I assume its not the real processing time kasi sabi din sa AIP letter is 15 mos, right? when kaya ma in process ecas ng LC2 natin, thats when we can wait for medical after.

Hi leogal... on a lighter side I think so , I think that's quite long enough for all of us 2010 applicants... 25 mos I guess is applicable to those applications submitted later than 2012, to those who got their open permits in 3 months after they applied for PR applications. CiC /CEM is working hand in hand to fix the backlog and the huge file of Inventories awaiting to be reviewed by the Visa Officer at the CIC/CEM. For every one application , it would take about 24 weeks for a VO to process and finalise their decision on it.

Sana nga dumating na MR natin in 2 months ...parating na rin yan..enjoy2 lang muna sa Pinas..BTw am the LC2.

thats the fighting spirit! ;D were almost there! pagPR na kami uwi muna ko and magenjoy Pinas because starting a new life here is going to be a challenge especially for the LC2..

At a news conference to announce that the immigration backlog been reduced by about 40%, paving the way for a faster and more effective immigration system in 2013 and beyond

...."Finally, let’s look at another very popular immigration program, the Live-in Caregiver Program. Again, here this is one program where we have not made progress, where we do have a problem with which we will have to deal. Because of a surge of new applications in that program a few years ago, we’re now sitting on a 45,000-person backlog with a five-year wait time for live-in caregivers, which is unacceptable. We have to fix this.

If we do nothing, we’ll be on track for a 50,000-person backlog. The only reason that growth has declined a bit is just because we’ve had fewer applications at the front end of the caregiver program."

hi ..it seems we're the only one's talking here but anyways , they are actually doing the backlogs indeed the evidence of huge inventories of applications at the CEM Family Reunification Unit...I just hope the current Strike of Foreign Service Diplomats wont affect the processing and finalization of our applications, CIC says there would be no stoppage and minimum service shall be regulated...like you said this is it we are on way to our goal PR... to be reunited to our families, fighting spirit should be leveled up as well.

I think they (CIC) has a contngency plan for this strike of Foreign Diplomats, A new Visa Application Office will be open in Manila and in Cebu this comng July 3rd 2013.

hello po... buti pa po sa inyo dumating agad ang AOR, sa amin po wala pa hanggang ngayon... Last april 9 nareceived po ng CEM ang LC2 kit namin... until now wala pa po dumadating na AOR... ask ko lang po, nung nakareceived kayo ng AOR thru email po ba or by maiL? hopefully sana po ngayong june dumating na po ang AOR namin... thanks po...

Hi , thru email ..try to email CEM and ask for an AOR, put in details when did you submit it, if thru courier the tracking number@ re:manil.immigration@international.gc.ca..hintay ka lang baka delay lang konti..anong timeline ng LC1 mo?

Your Welcome Boylawin!... sa case ko almost 52 days after masent ko yung kit...hintay lang..much better sa july 5, or even ow you can email CEM and ask for an AOR...gudluck and Godbless!.... timeline mo po please.

Important announcement

A NEW visa application centre (VAC) will be opening in Manila on July 3 and will be located at 6F Unit 608, Ecoplaza Bldg, Chino Roces Ave Ext., Pasong Tamo Ext., Makati City. The current VAC in Manila operated by PIASI will continue to serve applicants until that time. Please refer to the PIASI website to check cut-off dates for submitting your application before it closes.

Another VAC will also be opening in the Philippines on July 3. The VAC will be located in Cebu on the 9th Floor Keppel Center, Unit 905, Samar Loop cor, Cardinal Rosales Ave, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City. Updates will be provided on the mission site when available.
