LBSF Canada for ACCA

Hi All,
quite surprised to see this, as I am actually an MBA holder currently studying ACCA in Toronto. It didn't make sense for me to study another MBA since I already held one and I wished to continue ACCA studies in Toronto.
A paralegal at LSBF helped me with the visa application and while it took a while (waiting for the embassy to reply) I did receive my study permit in due course.
Through the LSBF internship program I am now able to work at a Toronto accounting firm. the experience has been fantastic. Canadian companies really care about "Canadian work experience" and the school has granted me the opportunity to gain professional experience.

hi ayaz ,, i applied in Lsbf and got rejection for ACCA ,, dont listen to the staff in that college the talk sweet in the bigining ,, i dont know any one who got visa ,, and those who got it are cursing the college ... secondly after my refusal i am still waiting for my refund .. its almost more than a year now and they havent returned my money ,, i call them every week .. they are rude as well ...


if you wana try a college which is cheap try ... memorial university .. its not in big city .. so get the info about the place first ... btw i m not in canada .. so cant say much

ya You are right not taking the risk for LSBF forsure.....they are misguiding much and I have heard alot reagarding the complains for refunding. I think we should report some one responsible any suggestions friends or it will of no use??

WOW!!! WHAT A LOAD OF BULLSHIT!!!!!

Im in Canada. I am at LSBF (not for long.. Humber ftw) and I am doing their "INTERNSHIP" program.

First off let me get this straight. NO one... i repeat NO ONE knows what ACCA is. its just easier telling ppl that you are doing the UK version of Chartered Accountancy. There is absolutely NO recognition of ACCA in Canada.

Secondly their internship is a waste of fucking money. they charge for what? some bullshit workshops which make NO sense? This term I was one of the lucky ones who got a somewhat OK job. still not accounts related though. I have no choice but to treat it as "Canadian Work Exp",

Basically what they do is they BEG organizations to take you on as "VOLUNTEERS" (they sent one guy for an interview... guess what the job was.. lol the vacancy was for a Photostat boy lol.

You can get these jobs yourself even without having to pay a crap load of money.

They failed to place ANY of their students in ANY sort of accounting firm this term. I KNOW THIS AS A FACT,


PLS dont mislead ppl here!!!

Oh and as for their paralegal help... you should hear what advise they gave my friend from the UK (but kher thats another story) lol

I can confirm ACCA and LSBF are a huge waste of time and money. ACCA is not recognized - while LSBF is recognized as being a bad school.

I am a Canadian (born in Canada) who has worked in the Canadian banking industry for 15 years with the big Canadian banks. In other words, I speak from experience.

Yeah thats what we are saying! I hope we stop many students who are looking ACCA in Canada. Its a big flop!
