Layoff From Job with a Closed Work Permit

Hi,
I am in Canada with my CLosed WP whcich is valid till July 2018. I just layoff from my Job .
can i stay till my WP is valid even if i dont have any Job? i know i cant do another job with this WP but just wanted to say another 2 months with this WP without any Job ?

Pls. Advise

Yes, you can stay until your work permit expires.

(1) Just worried ,If my company will cancel my Work permit ? if there will be any legal issue ?
(2) I have Closed work permit specif to my Employer , is there any issue If i am no more working with that company
(3) an Additional Information need , My Health Insurance ( along with my dependents) is with my Employer and they will stop that , if i need to Apply for EI or go for a Private Insurance as as a Visitor Health Insurance ,Pls. suggest .

1. They can't cancel your work permit. Only IRCC can do that and they won't bother.

2. No.

3. You will not qualify for EI, as you are not able to work anywhere else. If you still qualify for provincial healthcare, you will be switched from your employer's plan to your own.

hey Raj, one of my friends in same situation, can you please post what is your situation now? were you able to apply BOWP?
