Lawyers/Agencies for LMO/Workpermit

Has any one got a LMO/work permit with the help of consultants or agencies. I would like to know your experience bad or good and if you are aware of genuine agencies who can help in this.

**Every wannabe foreign worker has this same question, hence decided to create a thread.

Look for Mercan Canada. They handle ALL Tim Horton's Foriegn worker application. As well as nurses, welders, truck drivers and etc.
They are real and they do not ask for any money for the initial application,(work permit only.) because the employer usually pays for it. They have a good reputation. After this processing fees seem to be reasonable.

They are honest, and will assess all your credentials if there is a stream/way for you to get to Canada. (All possibilities.) They will not keep you hanging in a thread and will tell you outright if there us nothing they can do for you.

Find a number for the local HRSDC office. and Maybe call them to confirm if the LMO is valid.
Sometimes the employer actually never gets the original copy as it may just be faxed by hrsdc office,(Simply because it's faster, and cheap cause no need for postage) It doesn't really matter if its original or xerox copy as long as it is valid.

Thanx for the info, one more question is there any company going to give group workers LMO? in the LMO candidates names appear or not? we are almost 10 members and totally confused? and canadaian embassy going to give any group appointment? in visa appointment LMO number will appear or not if appear which column I should check it?

I do not know exactly what you are asking but I will answer it as how I understand your questions. YEs companies can get LMO's by group it doesn't necessarily just have to be one LMO# per person. If an employer was allowed I think the maximum per LMO is 10 employees. (I am not sure about that.) Just based on my experience. An LMo doesn't speciafically have to have your name in the beginning. The employer can apply for what is called as open LMO in which the employer hasn't hired the employees for it yet. What will happen is once the employer has hired the employees for the specific LMO, they will now send/fax the employees information to the hrsdc. After the hrsdc recieve the employees information, the employee can now apply for a visa. (I am thinking you are outside Canada).

I do not know why you need an embassy appointment? Once you have the LMO copy, valid passport, job offer letter. You can apply online. Even if it is a group of 10 in an lmo. you need to apply individually online. Or send application through mail. (which takes longer.)

Now please make sure your lmo is actually valid before going through all this effort. And make sure that if it is an open lmo that the employer has sent your info. (resume and contract) to the HRSDC.
