I am one of you, and I am gathering resources and friends who will launch a LEGAL BATTLE with IRCC and Marc Miller to end the suffering of Spousal PR applicants. We have gone through this immensely stressful, emotionally and financially taxing experience of applying for Spousal PR. There are spouses in our group, who have not seen their children for more than a year. Its not financially viable for them to spend $3000 on travel alone. And they have been waiting for more than 15 months. Some spouses in our group suffered risk of job loss because of the emotional and mental stress of living away from their spouse. While in other cases, delays in processing of their application, has brought the family on the verge of breaking up.

1. TRV for Spousal PR applications: Family Reunification in May 2023, a TRV policy that was designed to be used ONLY by few ‘chosen’ Visa Offices. While Abu Dhabi Visa Office was notorious in sending out TRV refusals. Firstly, it was mentioned that AOR is enough. Then Sponsorship Approval needs to be attached. And lastly, the eligibility status should be passed in the PR application to be granted TRV. That’s why many applicants got TRV quickly followed by COPR or PPR for their PR visa. This was a scam by CIC to collect VISA FEES, but only give TRV to citizens of few countries and its criteria was deliberately kept ambiguous and was constantly changed in the background. CIC will have to provide the details in the court of law, and return all TRV VISA FEES since June 2023 to all Spousal PR applicants, who rightfully applied for TRV and their application was refused. We will also demand to expose the Visa Offices and Officers who lead this refusal campaign. We will come after every individual within CIC who has deliberately weaponized their job and office to vomit their ethnic and ideological hatred against others. This will not be tolerated within CIC.
2. Case Processing Waiting Times for Outland Spousal PR: Another ambiguous and false metric issued by CIC, which averages out the endless suffering of applicants waiting since 2020 and 2021, by the applications processed in 5 months or under. We demand CIC to provide Country Visa Office Specific Waiting times. This will expose the efficiency and resource allocation issue for each Visa Office. Why applicants from African and Asian countries have to endure 20 – 24 month separation from their spouses, while specific South Asian Applicants enjoy 5 month processing time. CIC and Marc Miller will have to answer. Hence, the 10 month processing time is an insult to the ones currently suffering – and a grave misinformation to Canadian citizens who are planning to marry abroad and hoping to bring spouse into Canada within a year. That will NOT HAPPEN! CIC AND MARC MILLER are responsible for this DELIBERATE MISINFORMATION.
3. 5 Month vs. 24 Month Processing of PR??: There are 2 specific visa offices in South Asia, which are acting like Canadian “Visa Mill”. Be it study, work, TRV or PR. Ottawa and IRCC have provided full Human and financial resources to these 2 Visa Offices to churn out visas in 5-7 months. Fast tracking and waiving background checks are 2 key process tools by which CIC is able to issue them Visa in 5 months.
Fast-tracking applicants of one country over the other – is this not the precise definition of ETHNIC/RACIAL DISCRIMINATION?
What are we planning to do?
1. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against IRCC and Marc Miller personally! Nothing less. Let these policy makers live away from their families and children for two years, perhaps that’s the only way they will learn. We are forming a counsel of experienced lawyers, who have successfully won Class Action lawsuits against Canadian Govt. We are expecting at least 8,000-10,000 current applicants in the Spousal PR backlog who have been waiting for more than 15 months. Each applicant should be awarded expenses which will roughly equal to $10,000.
2. We will demand Canadian Court to HALT funding of IRCC immediately. This means, CIC website and IRCC/CIC offices will NOT BE ABLE to charge fees for any VISA applications – until current backlog of Spousal PR is settled in all and every Canadian Visa Office around the world, starting with notorious LONDON and Dar-Es-Salam VISA OFFICE.
3. We are currently planning and finalizing different forms of awareness campaigns and video interviews of PR Application Sponsors, impact on their lives and work. Will involve interviews of MPs who are mostly ‘helpless’ and sometimes useless in this situation. Several Liberal, Conservative and NDP members have already come forward to talk about the plight of Canadian Citizens suffering at the hands of CIC.
4. Lastly – but definitely NOT THE LEAST. CIC Whistleblowers! We urge CIC current and past employees to contact us.
