I wanted to know that I am about to complete Masters in Law (LLM) which is of two years to be done after completing Bachelor of Laws (LLB) which of three years and is to be done after completion of Bachelor degree of two years and hence after intermediate, LLM becomes a degree of 19 years to be completed. Whether this degree is recognized and accepted as of 19 years in Canada and how many points would one get on such degree. Whether LLB degree is acceptable to show the experience as Social Worker. I have four years experience as Social Worker which has been done after completing my LLB. Thereafter I have been giving consultations to various Social Works NGOs on their legal issues.
Can anyone please guide me whether above qualifications are acceptable and fulfill the criteria.
Thanks

A. Yes I have SW experience for four years in one local NGO
B. Whether my qualification LLM would be acceptable to be of 19 years education.
C. Whether I can apply through any consultant from Canada while physically being at Pakistan.
D. Who are the certified and recognized consultants recommended through whom I should start the process to have success story.
E. For how many days should I maintain the account before making application so as prove that I have funds available with me to support myself and family for initial period.
Thanks

-I don't have this info. may be another member can answer this.
yes, if your college is recognized by CIC (if University is well know, then mostly chances are yes)

C. Whether I can apply through any consultant from Canada while physically being at Pakistan.
-You don't need a consultant for such application, most of us in this forum are applying their own. If you are willing to apply for Canada application, you can start with following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
this link has all the information (guides) & application forms to fill. When ever you are not sure about any point or feel difficult to interprete any issue, you can share / ask in the forum and you can have the answer. This way you can save 1-1.5 lack Rs. and if you wish you can use that for NGOs.
But still if you want to have a consultant, just be cautious as most of the time they make false promises by misrepresenting the facts about eligibility of candidate. And yes, you can be anywhere on earth and still your application will be processed for Canada immigration, irrespective you take consultant's services or not.

D. Who are the certified and recognized consultants recommended through whom I should start the process to have success story.
-You can search on cic.gc.ca site or another member may answer this

-While applying you need to submit six months bank statement showing that you have enough funds; after that visa officer can ask again anytime before process is over.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing information you have. So if I dont have deposited the required funds as yet then I have to deposit them whereafter I should wait for 6 months so as generate the statement and then apply or initiate the process or should I initiate the process now forthwith after having deposited the amount now.
Other thing, can I show my properties including movables and immovables to show that I am an established man.
Thanks for your prompt replies.

You need six months stable bank statement showing required funds.

1) In case you want to file now, but do not have funds in bank, you can deposit the funds (big amount), but in that case you would need to establish that, that deposited funds belong to you, .e.g. if you got that amount by selling your property, then you would need to submit supporting document to establish that you sell your property and got those funds.
OR
2) you can deposit those funds, and keep in you bank for six months, use six months statement to submit.

Last but not least, you need to keep that amount in your bank till process is not over.

Here you means - you or your accompanying spouse, you can submit statement of your accompanying spouse's bank also.

Other thing, can I show my properties including movables and immovables to show that I am an established man.
-Unfortunately No. Only liquid cash can be shown as proof of funds.

Thanks for your prompt replies.

Dear Saad Ahmed, Canada_dream has replied u very comprehensively, yet i just need to add that, you can submit the amount in your bank account and get a bank certification letter, stating that, u have ending balance of Rs.......... and other account detail of yours and that will work like a charm.

I did the same and it worked, plz also consult the current Instruction guide i.e IMM EG 7000
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Feel free to ask anything,

Cheers,
