I have emailed asking for GCM without mentioning details of my children (all under 12 years) but with consent and details of me and my wife only, is that ok ??
Hi!

Well the IMM5563 form (page 2) says to write details of dependents? Didn't you include children in your FSW application?

As you have already emailed hopefully you will be ok as they are less than 18 years of age and their consent isn't required.

Thanks

Dear ,

How do i get GCMS # of my application - i have only BXXXXXXX no and BAR CODES .
Do you mean client identification number (UCI) to be entered in receipt ?

If you don't have UCI number enter your file no there like B018177230

1. Relative's email address because section D is requester's contact information.

2. Just one email address of Requester / relative

3. Just soft copy if you have checked email. You can only check one box like receive CD, hard copy, email etc

Thanks

Hi!

1.If your relative send everything by email he will get that exactly 30 days after receiving his email there. Like if he sent email on 15 MArch he will get CAIPS/GCMS on 16 April. After sending email ask them after 4-5 working days to issue you a request no. They will give you a number like A-2011-999 and also tell you date when to expect GCMS.

2. Your relative email address becasue its requester's contact information that is required in IMM5563 form.

3. You will get latest GCMS if they are made availble by your visa office and not CAIPS if you have ticked both. But if your visa office is not offering GCMS you will get CAIPS only. LOndon vo is offering GCMS so you will get that. For older files like for people who applied in 2007,2008,2009 only CAIPS are availble and not GCMS.

Thanks

Dear All!

One thing you will see in your CAIPS / GCMS is security screening. I just found on the web what is security screening and what they do.

You can be asked to await further checks while your security is pending. Have a look. Thanks

Security Screening

What is security screening?

Security screening is a process by which the name of a security clearance applicant is verified against CSIS databases to determine whether the applicant is mentioned in relation to threat-related activities. Depending on the level or category of security clearance required, security screening can also involve interviewing the applicant's friends, neighbours and employers, consulting with local police, and possibly interviewing the applicant.

What is the purpose of security screening?

The purpose of security screening is to prevent anyone of security concern from gaining access to sensitive government assets, locations or information, and to prevent non-Canadians who pose security concerns or risks from entering Canada or receiving permanent residence in the country.

Top of Page

Who must undergo the security screening process?

Federal public service employees, members of the Armed Forces and persons under contract to a government department who, in the performance of their duties, have access to classified government assets or information, as well as people who work at sensitive sites such as airports, the Parliamentary Precinct and nuclear power stations, are required to hold a security clearance. Non-Canadians who apply for permanent residency or refugee status must also undergo security screening. Security assessments fall into the following program categories: Government Screening, Sensitive Sites Screening, Foreign Screening, Immigration and Citizenship Screening, and Refugee Claimant Screening.
