Lately, how long is it taking to receive first PR card?

Applied via Express Entry invitation September 2021. Received approval and told to apply for PR card September 2022. Did everything right away. 2.5 months later still nothing. How much longer is this PR process going to take? When will I get my PR card? This is just mentally draining. I have not visited my family since 2019, I want to travel.

Around 90 days for the processing of the PR card itself and then a few extra weeks for mailing. There are two options to travel without a PR card. The first is to obtain a PR Travel Document once you are outside of Canada. This is an option for longer trips where you have time to wait for the PRTD to be processed. The other option is to fly home via the USA and reenter Canada through a land border crossing.

Thank you for the reponse. What would I need to cross over at the land border? I still have a valid work permit and eta.

Your COPR and passport. Any temp permits such as the eta and work permit are canceled once you become a PR and would no longer be valid.
