Still no answer two months after medicals accepted, advisor said things are ver SLOW but he said that not impossible nor certain but its very rare to see rejections after medicals have been approved, just hoping that if my medicals were submitted on the 11th of may (and approved on the 18th) I still am part of the august deadline...

No idea, seems its either 1-2 months. If you applied before the may15 deadline they're supposed to have decision by aug 5. Whats your timeline?
I applied on april 12 and did my biometrics on june 1st. I guess I dont fall in the aug 6 deadline

A couple of days ago eligibility started and the background check is processing. I dont need medicals.

Should be a tad bit faster if you dont need medicals overall. If anything, the wouldve rejected you when eligibility started (thats how the mexico office tends to work)

Quick update on sibling's app (online from honduras):
Submitted may 5
Biometrics may14
Med request june 28, med passed jul 8
Ppr july 30.
Will be sending passport on monday, hopefully will come back under 4 weeks but it all worked out!
(No explanation letter/SOP, no land tittles or anything beyond just the basic requirements -- although she's 18 and going for undergrad, so not much to explain or prove to be honest).
Cheers

Omg, that's wonderful news. Congratulations.

My spouse and I have almost the same timeline as your sibling. I hope we are lucky to receive our PPRs this week.

It feels good to know that the Mexico office is finalizing/working on applications.

Good luck to your sibling traveling to Canada.
