Hello Everyone!

I recently moved to canada. MY indian pp has given name and no surname.
on my landing document i have no given name and my given name is written as surname.

now my pr card, sin number has last name as my given name and there is no given name or first name.

I would like to add a surname on my pp. can i get last name added or do i have to get a new pp or what is the procedure?
how can i get the names changed on PR card or SIN?

My recommendation is that you wait till you get your Canadian citizenship. That time you have to apply for a Canadian passport. There is a section on the application form that allows you to write in your new name ( complete name as you need ) if you so choose.

You may need to provide notarized proof of the required name.

Dear,

I am also in the same boat . Some one was telling me that I should visit Indian embassey and get the rectification done and then to get the correction done at SIN card.Will be visiting within 2-3 days.
