Last Name - Difference

Hi,

Since I am from India, My last name is changed after my marriage (with my husband name instead of my father). So my education certificate last name is not with my son's month name and his birth certificate.

Education and my passport - My name <Father Name>
My son passport and his birth certification - My name <Husband Name>


Is this ok? or I need to give anything for this

Also Would I need to mention this in generic form (Nickname/Alias)

Hello,

In Russia women also change their second names upon marriage but it is a matter of tradition, not an obligatory action. We decided to leave my wife's original second name to avoid difficulties like this

Generally there are three ways to provide this information in your application:
1. There is a special field for names "at birth" so it is always clearly stated which of the names is intended in the forms.
2. It is required to provide supporting documents (e.g. National ID + marriage certificate + birth certificate, etc.) along with the pages where your prevous name(s) and all amendments are indicated
3. Feel free to provide clarifications in the cover letter
