Last minute panic! - non-dependent son and our application.

You know how it is, I've been researching and form filling for the past 12 months and now that we posted our application off yesterday I'm overthinking it and panicking that I've made mistakes...

I have 3 dependents included in our application (I'm the Principal Applicant). I also have a 20 year old son who doesn't qualify because of the age limit and who isn't interested in joining us anyhow.

I gave details of my 3 dependents on generic form IMM 0008 and gave details about my son on IMM 5406 additional family information. I also wrote a letter to go in with IMM 5406 stating that because he's financially independent, 20 years old and residing in another house that he hasn't been included in our application and therefore hasn't had a medical.
I wrote that he knows he'd have to apply and qualify on his own merits if he decided to work/live in Canada in the future.

I'm a worrier by nature , do you think this is ok? Have I provided information about him in the right way?

I'm sure more experienced members will chime in on this....but to me it seems fine. He is an Adult and is Not dependant on you. So he doesnt qualify as your dependant...You mentioned him and explained why he isn't included with all other dependants. seems fine and sufficient to me.

That's fine. Really, all that was needed was his details on the IMM5406. That shows his birthdate and the fact that he is not a dependent.

CIC will do that to you but honestly you gave more information than needed. He doesn't qualify end of . Now if one of your other children was on the application but non accompany you to Canada that's where the explanation would have been needed .
