Hi All,

i have observed the express entry ID that gets generated and first numbers relate to date on which profile is submitted and the rest represents the count

for eg. if you have submitted on 5th Jan it would be E00051XXXX

please post your date of submission and the series of the variable number so that we can relate and find how many have applied and we could find if there is a fair chance for each of us to get ITA

Good theory, but according to this post: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-profile-submitted-applicants-with-score-of-400-t263354.0.html;msg3947657#msg3947657 , somebody who applied on Jan 5 has E000226XXX ID, so it can't be that simple. Still interesting to try to figure it out, though.

Is E00051XXXX your number? All other numbers posted so far begin with E0002.

Mine is E00022XXXX. I think it is just a sequence that probably began from E000200000 and has been growing ever since.

Each category must have a different start number for the sequence. Eg. CEC category might begin from E0005XXXXX
and FSW from E0002XXXXX. I don't think it has anything to do with the date.

I finished registration around 3 hours after the system went online, and my number is E00021XXXX. I find it unlikely that 10000+ people were already registered in those 3 hours, so I don't think that numbering started with E000200000 and went E000200001, E000200002, etc.
