Language requirement

I am going to submit my application for citizenship next week but I today noticed that one of their application requirements reads (regarding language proof):

Note: You must have successfully finished a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French. A single course done in English or French does not meet the requirement. The diploma, certificate or transcript should be in English or French. The document must clearly show that the program was completed with English or French as the language of instruction.

I graduated from U of T with a bachelor degree and Queen's with a masters and I checked both my diplomas and transcripts but can’t seem to find any reference to the teaching language. I am wondering if I have to obtain a letter from one of my schools stating the teaching language was English??

Nope, it would be unnecessary. Diplomas obtained from schools in countries where the official or the de facto official language is English/French (UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.)will suffice the needs for language abilities. Just send a photocopy of your masters degree along with your application, and that'll do.

Just a clarification guys:

So in case of degrees from US, Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand is only a photocopy of degree awarded fine and nothing more needed ?

- i.e. no need IN ADDITION for official transcript from university ?

Unless you went to some special school in one of those countries where they did not teach in English (Like a school for Chinese expats), then yes, all you need is diploma or official transcript. I just provided a copy of my diploma from a US University and it was fine.
