Dear All,

Only principal applicant should give "Language Assesment Test" (IELTS) or this is mandatory for spouse as well ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks thai,

One more quick question: I want to go Toronto to give "IELTS" Test. Do you think "language assesment test" could be a good reason to get a "temporary visa" from Canada Consulate.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks again.

Thanks Thaiguy,

I live in Detroit and I checked chicago "IELTS" center which has no seats left before March 08. But I can get appear in "Toronto" IELTS test which is in mid Feb. 2008.

My only intent is to speed up the process.
I do have couple of friends in Canada, I can ask them to send me invitation to get Visa.

Do you think its a good idea ?

Thanks again.

Are you a U.S. permanent resident? If so, you don't need a visa to go to Canada.

If not, I'll just say that Immigration is not going to give you a TRV to take the IELTS because there are too many places in the U.S. that you can take it. They're not going to care about it saving you a month.
