They are going to ask "where do you work" and you can tell them that you are between jobs.... there is nothing wrong with that. Many contractors do take advantage of time between contracts to take vacations and complete their landing. It is common.

They didn't even ask me where I am working. They just verified my copr doc and had me initial on each section and asked me the current address in Canada. I don't think you have to prove you are unemployed now. If they ask, just tell them you are seeking for new opportunity. It is nothing related to your current work, you are landing because your previous work experience was approved by cic.

Yes that is correct, but in my case they did ask me where, since when and what did I do there.

It seems sometimes they give a new SIN when landing but the officer said I had to go to Service Canada and get a new one.

Bottomline: each experience is different, but for sure as you said "It is nothing related to your current work, you are landing because your previous work experience was approved by cic".

thanks, man! Appreciate your answers!

You don't need to prove anything . Do not worry ! The landing is like while you are entering Canada, they review your CORP, ask you routine questions, you have to sign and at the end they will say "welcome to Canada"....congrats !

ywd, I am in a similar situation. I am waiting for my PPR and I got laid off from work last week. I am applying for EI, and wondered if you did the same while looking for another job.
