What happens when you land can you collect your suitcase and belongings first and then answer the immigration questions etc? Or is this done before you go to the luggage hall? I will be taking alot of stuff with me and dont want it spinning on the carousel for ages while im being interigated lol!

Yes, first you go to the secondary inspection where you become a PR, then go to the baggage hall to pick up your stuff... My stuff always spins and spins waiting for me as I have to go to secondary every time, but in fact there's always someone from the airport watching and they collect the bags and stop the carrousel, to avoid the spin and spin situation... Hopefully that will come to an end for me once I'm landed...

shandymoo, If you are landing as a PR you will not be interrogated, lol, though I can not promise the immigration officer will be nice either. They will just review your paperwork, type some stuff in the computer, ask you a few questions (any change of status, address to send the PR card, etc) and then you're done. Remember to take your B4 form to declare those spinning goods you brought with you. If there is no waiting, you should be done in about 15 minutes.
