Dear all,
Please I'll need your advice on my landing. My wife sponsored me and my PR has been approved.
But at this time my wife works in the USA as a registered nurse.

My question is:

can I land in Canada when my wife is not in the country cos she is very busy now ...

though all arrangements of housing and other things has been made.

Is your wife a Canadian citizen? Did you apply Outland?

If CBSA doesn't believe that your spouse is intending to return to live in Canada, they could refuse your landing. Is she moving back to Canada soon? How long has she been living outside of Canada?

You wife has to come back to Canada as well. In your application, that is prerequisite of approval of your PR. What is the hurry? Why could not you wait for your wife to come back together?

She had to show proof she was moving back to Canada to sponsor you . Like substantial proof . What changed from when she said & submitted all this proof saying she was moving back & now ?
Being busy isn’t a reason

Thank you ...
Looking at mine.
I received medical instruction 4th Feb,
I did medical 19th feb,
My PPR letter to submit passport sent on 9th March.
I submitted 11th March and my passport was stamp and COPR returned on 18th March.
I guess covid-19 is slowing things down if yours is later than that

She will be coming back after her job in USA around March next year. Although she should have been in Canada to receive me but the covid-19 will waste alot of time for her as she will be quarantine twice if she travel... one in Canada and second in USA on returning

Given that her planned move is almost a year away, CBSA may refuse to land you.
