Landing questions - IRCC working hours and connecting flight

Hi guys!

We recently received ou CoPRs and are planning our landing in Vancouver in Febuary of 2018.

While buying our plane tickets we were left with a couple of questions and we're hoping you guys can help.

We have two options:
1) Go straight to Vancouver and arrive at around 11:00PM. So the first question is: does the IRCC work 24 hours at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to do the landing procedure? If not, what are the times?
2) Catch a connecting flight in Calgary. Which leads us to the second question: if we arrive in Calgary first, do we have to do the landing procedures there?

1. It's CBSA that will process your landing at the airport, not IRCC.

2. Yes, if you fly in to Calgary first, you will land there.

If an international flight is landing, CBSA is there.

CBSA and immigration services at major ports of entry are 24/7, so it doesn't really matter whether you go directly to YVR or via YYC.... You will do your landing procedure in the first Canadian port of entry you arrive in.
