Hey,

First of all Congratulations to all those who received their CoPR and best of luck for others.
We are about to land in Edmonton soon (family class sponsorship-parents and 2 dependents)
Could anyone who landed recently share with us the landing experience and questions asked by immigration officers at POE?

Is it necessary that your sponsor and your residential address in canada should be same? Do they ask questions about sponsor that where is he/she currently living? How long will it take to pass poe?

Remember us in prayers.

Thanks,
Khan

I didn't landed yet as PR but I did it as TFW at Edmonton.

No big questions asked for, jus a few general questions about job/company (for WP), height, weight, eyes and hair colors.

Don't expect complicated questions if COPR/Passports are in order, just a few about sponsor name or relation, plans here or something else

About the addresses it's important to provide one where you can receive your PR card, tooks more than 3 months nowadays.

Unless you had rented a apartment already I will recommend to provide sponsor or friend address to be are to receive cards.

After landing, first things to do:

- Get a phone or a SIM card.
- Go to Service Canada and request a SIN for everyone.
(Need COPR and Passport)
- Apply for Alberta health card at a Registry.
(Need COPR, Passport and probe of address, Like rental contact)
- Open a Bank Account
