Hi,
I live in Vancouver and intend to go to the states for the weekend to then re-enter and land as a permanent resident. The instruction document I received with my COPR states that items bought with you at the time of landing are not subject to any importation duties etc.
Do you think this would imply that I could purchase any value of goods whilst in the states and then bring them back into Canada with me as my "belongings" at the time of landing.
I don't intend to abuse the system but it might be a nice opportunity to pick up extra items!
