Do I report the items that are already in Canada on the B186 aka B4 forms? Lets say I have a desktop computer and monitor in Canada should I put that on the form also even though it will not be with me on day of landing?

No, you don't have to list anything that is already in Canada. The idea of a B4 is to list the items you are bringing with you at your landing or having shipped later so you don't have to pay customs.

We are landing for a day in two weeks and wanted to know if items of clothing and shoes are to be entered on these goods forms?

If your not wearing them, they should be indicated on the forms ("accompanying" or "to follow"). However, you do not need to go into specifics.
You could say: "20 pairs of shoes", and indicate the value as you did for other items. Same for the clothing; 3 bags/boxes of clothing.

That'll suffice.

So far I have just stayed: Personal Belongings - Clothing and placed a Dollar value to them.

I would not know how many boxes it would take to get them in. Do you suggest I place a number of boxes on the form?

yes, you will need to provide a total amount and type of containers everything is arriving in (boxes, suitcases, bags, etc.). unless you want to provide quantities for every type of item (# of pants, shirts, dresses, shoes, etc), this is the preferred and easiest way to fill out the form. my guess is that CBSA would rather count 10 boxes than 20 pairs of shoes, 10 pairs of pants, etc.

if you haven't packed yet, then you would need to wait until everything is packed to correctly fill out the form.

Thanks. But as I mentioned we silent be taking anything until later in the year once we go for good. Out main purpose next week is to land and activate the PR as we are both quite busy prior to the visa expiry date hence why just going to trigger it.

Will have to put a number on boxes as a good guess

You can estimate the number of packages (bags or boxes) based on what you have.
However, estimate on the higher side - actual may be less than the estimates you indicate, but not more.
